NEW SPRINGS PRESCHOOL

The New Springs Christian Academy Preschool provides a nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment where children learn and grow through hands-on, play-based experiences—with Jesus at the center of it all! Our 3K and 4K Preschool Program is designed to spark curiosity, encourage creativity, and build a strong foundation in both wisdom and character, all within a joyful, Christ-centered atmosphere.

At New Springs Preschool, your child will be known, loved and nurtured in every area of development – spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. We’re honored to partner with families in this foundational season of life.

Philosophy

We believe in creating an environment where children can truly thrive – making learning fun through exploring, creating, and discovering. At New Springs Preschool, we recognize and celebrate the unique strengths of each child, offering a personalized approach to learning.

Our faith-based teaching helps preschoolers grow in their friendship with God and encourages them to live out their faith each day. We honor that every child is wonderfully made by our Heavenly Father, and our role as educators is to lovingly guide each one as they develop as their own pace.

We’re committed to nurturing the whole child – not only academically and spiritually, but also socially, emotionally, and physically. Your child is a treasure, and we are deeply honored to come alongside you as parents, partnering together in this important journey.

At New Springs Preschool, we follow a rich, developmentally appropriate curriculum created by educator Laurie Prewitt, drawing from over 30 years of experience in early childhood education. Her approach integrates multi-sensory learning with age-appropriate developmental goals, rooted firmly in Biblical truth.

Our Bible-based teaching supports both spiritual formation and academic growth, laying a solid foundation for your child’s future success as they enter early elementary school.

Preschool Programs NSCA Preschool offers both a 3K Preschool and 4K Preschool – each following their own tailored curriculum, designed to meet children where they are and help them grow in their God-given strengths and interests.

  • Daily Bible stories and scripture memorization
  • Worship time through singing and prayer
  • Developing Christ-like character such as kindness, patience, sharing, respect, and self-control
  • Learning to see each person as uniquely created and deeply loved by God

  •  Language Arts & Literacy
    • Early phonics and letter recognition
    • Exposure to print through our classroom library and read-aloud time
    • Listening and speaking skills, rhyming, story sequencing, and pre-writing activities

  • Math
    • Number recognition and counting
    • Sorting, patterns, shapes, basic measurement and comparisons

  • Science
    • Exploring God’s Creation through nature walks, experiments, and sensory discovery
    • Observing seasons, weather, animals, and plants to build curiosity and critical thinking
Enrichment Activities

  • Music: Children sing daily, enjoy rhythm instruments, and participate in movement songs. Music fosters language development, memory, and joy!
  • Movement: Physical activity is a vital part of our day. Our Little Lions run, jump, climb, and explore both indoors and outdoors—on the playground, in structured movement activities, or out in God’s nature.
  • Art: Creativity is encouraged through open-ended art projects using a variety of materials and textures. Art helps develop fine motor skills, self-expression, and confidence.
  • Life Skills: From learning to follow routines to practicing independence, preschoolers are gently guided to develop age-appropriate social and emotional skills that help them thrive in the classroom and beyond.
We believe every child is uniquely made by God and develops at their own pace. Mrs. Prewitt and our teaching team are deeply involved in each child’s growth, offering personalized attention and one-on-one support when needed to reinforce skills or spark curiosity.
To help ensure a smooth and successful transition into the classroom, New Springs Preschool kindly asks that all children be fully potty-trained before beginning school.

We understand that each child develops at their own pace, and we’re happy to partner with you in this process as your child gets ready for preschool.

Extended Care at NSCA

New Springs offers an Extended Care Program designed to support your family’s needs with flexible, wrap-around care available Monday through Friday, from 7:30am to 5:00pm.

We understand that each family’s schedule is unique, and our Extended Care program ensures your child is safe, loved, and continuing to learn and grow throughout the day in a Christ-centered environment.

Multi-Age Learning Opportunities
Our Extended Care setting provides meaningful multi-age learning experiences for our preschoolers. This approach encourages both peer mentoring and collaborative learning, where children benefit from interacting with students of different ages and developmental stages:

    • Four-Year-Olds in the T/TH 3K Program build confidence and leadership skills as they model positive behaviors and assist younger friends.

    • Three-year-olds in the M/W/F 4K Program benefit from learning alongside slightly older peers, gaining new skills through observation and interaction.

This enriching environment supports the development of empathy, cooperation, and a deeper sense of community among our preschoolers.
When preschoolers are not in their classroom, they are cared for by our dedicated NSCA Extended Care staff. During this time, your child will enjoy:

  • Creative play and engaging art projects
  • Story time and book exploration
  • Gross motor activities both indoor and outside
  • Rest time (optional) in the afternoon for those who need a nap

We believe in nurturing the whole child, and Extended Care is a natural extension of our preschool program where your child can continue to thrive emotionally, socially, and spiritually.

At NSCA, we are committed to partnering with families to meet childcare needs in a way that aligns with our mission to help each child grow into the incredible person God created them to be. We’d love to talk with you more about how our Extended Care program can support your family.
