NEW SPRINGS MIDDLE

At New Springs Christian Academy, our Middle School Program (Grades 6th – 8th) is designed to build on the strong spiritual and academic foundation laid in the Elementary years. These formative middle school years are a time of tremendous growth, and our goal is to guide students as they transition from learning to read and explore, to thinking critically, serving intentionally, and leading boldly.

NSCA Middle School offers a dynamic and engaging academic experience that blends direct instruction, guided practice, and independent exploration. Students are encouraged to take ownership of their learning while being supported by dedicated teachers who are passionate about disciplining and equipping the next generation of Christian leaders.

Philosophy

We believe God’s Word is the foundation of truth and the final authority.
All learning is approached through this Biblical worldview, shaping how we teach every subject and how students engage with the world around them.

Students spend over 1,200 hours in school each year.
From Kindergarten through 8th grade, that adds up to approximately 10,800 classroom hours. What your child learns shape who they become. That’s why NSCA is committed to integrating God’s Word across all subjects and school experiences, equipping students both physically and academically to impact their world for Christ.

Our approach to learning is rooted in God’s wisdom.
The book of Proverbs offers a model for education through three key components: wisdom, understanding, and knowledge.

“By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.”   Proverbs 24:3–4

We believe that Christian education should be centered on the person of Jesus Christ and the authority of scripture. We recognize that every academic discipline is shaped by God’s Truth and should point students toward a deeper understanding of Him.

We provide an adapted curriculum to meet diverse learning needs.
We recognize that each child is uniquely created by God with distinct strengths, challenges, and learning styles.

We emphasize practical life skills alongside academics.
We are not only preparing students for tests and textbooks, but for Godly leadership and service in the real world.

Training the whole child is at the heart of our educational philosophy.
We use a hands-on, multi-sensory approach to foster growth in knowledge, character, and faith.

Christian worldview is reinforced from multiple Godly influences.
Our students are supported by a unified message of Biblical Truth from teachers, staff, and families who partner together to guide them in Christ.

Students are challenged to grow in knowledge and faith through a full academic program that includes:

  • Bible – in addition to daily study and scripture memorization, students   engage with Christian worldview training, Biblical theory, and apologetics to understand why we believe what we believe.
  • Math
  • English Language Arts
  • Science
  • History
  • Physical Education
  • Music
  • Computer/Technology

Each subject is taught with intentionality to promote curiosity, foundational skill-building, and the application of Biblical principles.

Middle schoolers also participate in a range of electives, which are designed to help them explore their God-given talents and interests. These may include:

  • Art
  • Drama & Performance
  • STEM/Robotics
  • Leadership & Public Speaking
  • Life Skills (cooking, budgeting, practical application)
  • Worship Arts
  • Service Learning
  • More elective options to be announced as we grow!

Middle school is not only about academics – it’s a time when students begin to define who they are and how they engage with the world around them. At NSCA, we embrace this unique stage of development by encouraging:

  • Spiritual Maturity – through daily devotions, chapel, small groups, and service projects.
  • Servant Leadership – giving students real opportunities to lead, mentor younger students, and serve the community.
  • Critical thinking and apologetics – equipping them to articulate and defend their faith with confidence and compassion.

Students are mentored by a caring team of educators who understand the unique joys and challenges of these years and are committed to walking alongside them spiritually, emotionally, and academically. We are excited to grow together as a Middle School community rooted in Christ and built on the belief that our students are called to lead, serve, and shine brightly in today’s world.
