GOD, THE FATHER
We believe in one God, the Creator of all things, who manifests Himself in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He has eternally existed, He always was, and He always will be. (Genesis 1:1, Deuteronomy 6:4, Psalm 2, Psalm 90:2, Jeremiah 10:10, Matthew 28:19, 1 Peter 1:2, Revelation 1:8)
JESUS CHRIST, THE SON
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, was sent to make a way for right relationship with God. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life on earth, demonstrated the authority and power of God in works and speech, was crucified and died on the cross at Calvary, shedding His blood for the forgiveness of our sins, was buried and rose from the dead on the third day, and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father having accomplished all that is necessary for the salvation of mankind. Jesus Christ is true God and true man. (Matthew 1:18, 27-28, 1 Corinthians 1:30-31)
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God and is God, coequal with the Father and the Son. We believe the Holy Spirit is continuing the work He started at Pentecost, empowering believers to live Godly lives and to continue in all the works of Jesus. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit that is distinct from the new birth and can be received by faith. We believe that spiritual gifts and manifestations of the Holy Spirit are available and active today for the common good and the building up of others, available to all believers, as God is not a respecter of persons. (Deuteronomy 10:17, Matthew 28:19, Mark 16:18, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:4, Acts 5:3-4, Acts 10:34, 44-46, Acts 11:15-16, Acts 19:6, Acts 28:25-26, 1 Corinthians 12:4-7, 2 Corinthians 13:14, Galatians 3:2)
THE CHURCH
The Church is the body of Christ and a living temple where God dwells in each of His people. It consists of all those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, regardless of denominational affiliation, who are redeemed through His blood, and are born again of the Holy Spirit. Everyone that has accepted salvation is a member of Christ’s church and becomes a member of His body. Christ is the Head of the Body, the Church, which has been commissioned by Him to go into all the world as a witness, preaching the gospel to all nations. The local church is a body of believers in Christ who are joined together for the worship of God, for edification through the Word of God, for prayer, fellowship, the proclamation of the gospel, to bring their supply to serve in ministry to their local body of believers, and to observe Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. (Ephesians 1:22-23, Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 2:41-47)
SCRIPTURE
We believe the Bible in its entirety to be the inspired Word of God and the infallible rule of faith and conduct that is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice, and is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness. We believe that the Biblical Scriptures do not simply contain the Word of God but are the Words of God that inherently possess His life and authority and bring faith, revelation, and healing to those who choose to receive (Matthew 4:4; Matthew 22:31; Romans 1:17; Romans 15:4; 2 Corinthians 4:13; Hebrews 10:7; Proverbs 4:20-22, 2 Tim 3:16)
HUMANITY AND SIN
Man was originally created in the image and likeness of God. Sin was human’s desire to live independently of God on our own terms. Man fell through disobedience, incurring thereby both physical and spiritual death. All men are born with a sinful nature, are separated from the life of God, and can be saved only through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ. Those who choose to be unrepentant and unbelieving in the Lord Christ and His atonement for sin will remain in existence forever in conscious torment; and that of the believer, in everlasting joy and bliss. (Genesis 1:27, Romans 3:23, 1 Corinthians 15:20-23, Revelation 21:8, Revelation 21:1-4)
RECONCILIATION
We may fall short from time to time, but we can be made right with God through personal confession of our sin, repentance, and the blood of Jesus which covers all sin, which empowers us to live a life of personal holiness and purity of heart. (Romans 3:23, 1 John 1:9)
PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP
We believe in a personal relationship with God the Father, with Jesus, the Son, and with the Holy Spirit, our Comforter and Counselor. We believe in being led by the Spirit of God in everything, and yielding to His constant direction and counsel. God calls each one of us to join his purposes here on earth to build the Kingdom of God by making disciples. Our faith is lived out in actions of obedience to God. We must partner with the work of the Holy Spirit in bringing the Kingdom of God on this earth. (Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:15, Galatians 5:25, James 2:26, John 3:16, John 14:26, 16:13, Romans 10:13)
RESURRECTION
We believe in that those who have believed in Jesus will be resurrected with Him to a heavenly dwelling in an incorruptible body, in the eternal happiness of the saved, and the eternal punishment of the lost. We believe that the hell described in the Old and New Testaments is a literal, eternal destination for all who refuse the gift of salvation, rejecting Christ’s redemptive work (Luke 12:5; 2 Peter 2:4-9, 1 Corinthians 15:20-23, John 5:28-29, Romans 6:23)
FREE WILL
We believe in personal accountability of deed and word. We believe in the eternally protected and guaranteed right of free choice and the spiritual law of seedtime and harvest. The bible says we will reap what we sow, and this principle applies just as much to the words that we speak as it does for the actions that we take. (Deuteronomy 30:19, 1 Corinthians 6:12, Galatians 6:7-9)
HEALING
God heals today just as He healed through the hands of Jesus and the Apostles through the power of the name and the blood of Jesus. He is not a respecter of persons past, present or future. (1 Peter 2:24, Mark 16:18, Acts 10:34)
THE RETURN OF JESUS CHRIST
The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent and will be personal, visible, and premillennial. This is the believer’s blessed hope and is a vital truth which is an incentive to holy living and faithful service. (Matthew 25:31, John 5:28-29, Hebrews 10:37, Luke 21:27, Titus 2:11-14)
GENDER IDENTITY
As the Creator of all things, God alone has the ultimate authority to prescribe and describe the human gender as defined by one’s sex assignment at birth. ( Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:1-9, Mark 10:1-12)
